Lux can perform for as long as we’re required to but usually perform for 2 hours, split into 2 X 1 hour sets or 3 X 40 minute sets depending on the running order of the night.

Yes. We use top of the range equipment, from vintage valve tube amplifiers to modern full frequency range PA sound systems. We also employ professional sound engineers with extensive experience.

Yes. We can provide a DJ or we can play music from an Ipod. We will consult with you on the type of background music you would like played. If clients have particular songs in mind, they’re welcome to create their own iPod playlists which can be played through our PA system.

We ask clients to provide hot meals/sandwiches and soft drinks for the acts. Please let us know if this cannot be arranged as we like to keep our musicians fully powered and once everyone is on site, it can often be hard to source other food. We would also request secure/adequate parking for our vehicles, a room to get ready and warmed up in and access to at least two plugs for the stage.

Yes, this is something we do regularly. You may prefer something a little different earlier in the day such as a duo or jazz trio. Let us know your requirements and it can be arranged!

Yes we can! We do require some advance warning however to make sure everyone is confident with the song as we all know it’s a very important moment.

Bands do not usually need a raised stage as such - this is up to you - but they will require a performance area generally of about 4m x 5m (13ft x 16ft). That said, many bands can squeeze into a smaller space if necessary! Where the event is being held in a marquee or similar, the band must have a level hard floor, as grass or matting are not safe surfaces.

Approximately 1 hour is required. Sound-checks are always as short possible and we arrange them around your event timings to minimise any disturbance.

Once it is set up, we are happy for the microphone and PA system to be used for speeches. There will need to be a lead from the microphone to the PA and this may make it impractical if the speeches are taking place more than 15 metres (50 feet) from where the PA is positioned.

We are very happy to discuss the playlist and really focus the set towards what you would like. We would also ask that you trust us to do a good job putting together something for you that will keep people moving all night.

Yes, if the venue requires a certificate, please contact us and we'll forward you a copy.

No. We have an abundance of talented deputy singers and musicians that rehearse with our acts in case anyone is taken ill.

We take a 25% deposit on signing of contract and then the full balance a week before the event. Once these are paid, they are non refundable.
